Organization of your safari in Gabon

This integrated circuit in Gabon will take place in an individual 4x4 vehicle with a driver who will accompany you throughout your organized stay on the date of your choice . Day 1

Libreville Airport

Our team welcomes you at the airport and you get to know your driver who will accompany you throughout your trip to Gabon.
Transfer to the hotel in Libreville, the basic comfort is a two star hotel (without dinner), however, if you want a higher category, you must tell us when you request.

As a reminder to enter Gabon:

  • You must be minimum of a visa which you can obtain online by clicking HERE ,

  • You must present an international vaccination record which certifies that you have been vaccinated against yellow fever, more information: click HERE

Travel to Tchibanga in southern Gabon

Our driver will pick you up from your hotel in Libreville around 7 am, after your breakfast. The journey will take approximately 10 hours. Along the way you will stop for lunch.

In addition to this, you will need to know more about it.

The service includes : breakfast, transport, accommodation and dinner. Lunch on the way is at your expense.

Tchibanga - Doussala in Moukalaba Douou National Park

Our local guide comes to pick you up and in the company of your driver you take the road at 7 am to Doussala for a duration of 3 to 4 hours to reach the forest village, after your installation and civilities with the village chief, you can participate in your first gorilla tracking from 2:30 p.m. in the company of your guide and trackers for 3 hours.
The next day, you will have the opportunity to make two hikes in the forest to track gorillas, in the morning from 7 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. and afterwards from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. However, during your hikes you may possibly observe other species such as elephants, buffaloes, Defassa cobes, chimpanzees, gorillas, small monkeys and many other species.

The service includes : transport to Doussala, the local guide, the trackers and accommodation in the Doussala camp with full board, the cuisine is prepared by the people of the village.
Observation : Tracking requires special supervision for your safety, this is established as follows 1 to 4 people: 2 guides, for 5, 6 7 people: 4 guides and for 8, 9,10 people: 6 guides

Doussala - Mayumba observation of all lutes or humpback whales at sea

In the company of your guide, our driver takes you to Mayumba the coast. You arrive around 11 am at the hotel after checking in at the hotel and having lunch, we offer several discovery programs depending on the season.

Leatherback turtle season from November to April : on this occasion you discover the Banio lagoon in a pirogue in the Mayumba National Park, where you can observe turtles. It is estimated that 30% of the world population passes through Gabon, a large part of which in Mayumba. Leatherbacks are the largest turtles in the world, sometimes measuring 2 meters in length. An estimated 40,000 females come to lay their eggs each year on Gabonese beaches and in particular in Mayumba.

Boss whale season from May to October , you will board a boat heading out to sea. It is an exciting experience to be on a small boat when a huge whale falls back into the water just a few feet away. Humpback whales along the coast of Gabon to reproduce, give birth, and nurse their young. Active females and cubs are close to the coast and larger groups are found in deeper water.

The service includes : full board accommodation, boat rental (pirogue or sea boat), guide, pilots and entry into Mayumba park.

Mayumba - Sette Cama and Loango Park

After the observation of turtles or whales, you leave Mayumba in a 4x4 with your guide, the driver will drop you off at the Gamba pier to go to Sette Cama by canoe through the mangrove. You will have the opportunity to discover the fauna, in particular the hippos, during your navigation, which may last about two hours. You will spend the night in Sette Cama.

The service includes: Transport, guide, rental of the canoe, entry into Loango Park, full board accommodation.

By canoe in the Parc de Loango and bivouac in the forest

By canoe and with your guide, you will navigate in the lagoon surrounded by mangroves and enter Loango Park to discover elephants, buffaloes, monkeys and flora for a day and bivouac in the forest. The next day you will return by canoe to Gamba where the driver will be waiting for you. You will have the opportunity during this canoe safari in the Loango Park to observe elephants and buffaloes wandering between the sea and the forest! You can possibly try your hand at sport fishing in Sette Cama!

The service includes : rental of the canoe, guidance, rental of tents for the bivouac and food during these two days and entrance fees to the park, accommodation in Gamba with dinner.

Day 9

Gamba - Lambarene

It's a day of transition, you leave the southern PACS with your 4x4 vehicle and your driver to go north to Lambaréné for a one-day trip that will take you to Lambaréné at the end of the afternoon. During the journey, you will stop for lunch.

The service includes: transport, accommodation in the evening with dinner in Lambaréné. Lunch is not included.

Discovery of the lakes and the life of fishermen or traditional populations (Pygmies, Akeles, Fangs Tsogos)

From Lambaréné, we offer several canoe trips in the surroundings of LAMBARENE.

  • You will sail on the lakes of Onangue and Evaro, towards the Ngomo mission, and will discover artisanal fishing techniques in the fishing villages.

  • Go down the Ngounie river to meet the ancestral populations of Gabon Akele, Fang Tsogo),

  • Visit of a Pygmy village with one night in a village. (return to Lambaréné day 11)

Day 11

Lambaréné - Libreville

After a city tour and a visit to the Schweitzer hospital museum, return to Libreville after a stop en route to immortalize your visit to ECUADOR , arriving at the end of the afternoon. For clients who choose to visit the Pygmies village, the departure to Libreville will be on Day 12 for drop-off at the airport.

Libreville - Airport drop-off

Free day, conducive to shopping for souvenirs on the artisans market or visiting museums, visiting the Gabonese arts and traditions museum or the ARW arboretum; The driver will be at your disposal during the day before dropping you off at the airport.
